How We Do It

Sustainability is one of the main motivations to start this brand.

Over-production is a giant problem in the fashion and footwear industry.

To fight over-production, most of our products will be manufactured on-demand. Only the shoes that have been ordered will be 3D-printed.

By producing footwear in a single 3D-printing process, there is no longer any need to join different parts. So one is no longer "forced" to production in low-wage factories.

In contrast to conventional footwear, which is made from up to 40 different materials, that are often fused and glued together and cannot be recycled, The CRYPTIDE designs can be completely and purely recycled because they only consists of one single material.
Our french 3D-printing-partner offers a recycling-service for products that have reached their end of life. Please contact us for more information.

Design Innovations

become possible through powder bed 3D-printing technology and 3D-simulation:

The CRYPTIDE footwear is designed and made as a monolith (upper and sole) in one go. Powder bed 3D- printing is allowing superior geometric freedom and therefore unmatched freedom of design

The CRYPTIDE ONEs sole consists of a structure of branched beams, that have been developed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) und topology optimization to guide forces from the wearer to the ground.

Midsoles can consist of Meso-Lattices (in contrast to Micro-Lattices eg. known from athletic footwear), which represent an innovation in so called meta-materials.
